Update Project 03/2018 Investigation visit of the supported Childrens Home

Contribution for the development of the Childrens Home „Safe Haven“ for disadvantaged, underprivileged and handicapped children in Struisbaai Western Cape, Cape Agulhas, South Africa / Investigation visit in Struisbaai. Beginning of Feb. 2020 the Board members Dieter and Bettina Wulkow visited the new Childrens Home “Safe Haven” in Struisbaai, Cape Agulhas, South Africa whom we supported in 2018 together with our subdonors with a contribution of 2x 3000.-€. We could sponsor the development of
the roof contruction and the fencing of the garden of the Childs Home. Currently 8 disadvantaged, underprivileged and handicapped children are living in the Home and are cared for several months or years. They are taken to school and kindergarden every day. The Home Safe Haven was errected partwise with help and goods of own account from church members and the organization Meals on Wheels. Seloma Gouws, the Manager of the Childs Home, introduced to us the Home and we could see and convince ourselves that it was more than worth to sponsor this project. We were overwhelmed what we could see on occasion of our warm welcome by Seloma and her adoped children. We could accompany Seloma for a couple of hours in her daily work and she took us to fetch the childs from school, had lunch with them together, helped them with our homework at school and spent some hours with them. We are proud that we could help to get this project realised; to build up a New Home, an Eagle’s Nest for 8 young underprivileged children. Many thanks to all our sub-donors who made this possible. A Donors Certificate is placed at the entrance of the Home and we are delighted to give an impression of that Home with the photos we were allowed to take and to show during our visit.
