Annual Review of our foundation work and the realized sponsorship projects in 2022 as well as our sponsorship preview 2023

From time to time we do report  of our charitable work of our foundation and the sponsorship projects realized by the Dieter & Bettina Wulkow Foundation. In 2022 we could support 5 projects with an amount of 6.110,00 €. Although our work and traveling activities and visits were limited due to the CORONA situation we were able to follow-up and exchange information with our project partners and in Web Meetings.  All our contributions were complete used for the requested purpose. Administration fees apart from Website costs and Membership of the German Association for Charitable Foundations were borne by our private funds. A description of our sponsorship projects are listed on our Website. We express our thanks to all donors and partners for their support and to whom we have close relationship.

Realised Sponsorship Projects 2022

01/2022  Sponsorship of special hospital for children Psychiatry Bad Neuenahr/Germany after the heavy flood disaster

We spent an amount of 2.000 Euro to help to rebuild the hospital for the children and youth to repair the climbing wall for the children of the hospital or that the clinic can replace needed therapeutic material for the children.

02/2022   Humanitarian aid for Ukraine – Contribution for families in need – Cooperation with the Charitable Association „Brücke der Hoffnung“ (Bridge of Hope)

War: Death, destruction and terrible harm hit civil population – Mothers and Children on the run out of the country. Wulkow Foundation supports the charitable work of the Association "Bridge of Hope" in Ukraine by a sponsorship of 1.500 €

03/2022  Sponsorship of education work to prevent from (FGM) in rural schools in Kenia -
We supported the project work of the book writer Ntailan Lolkoki. Natailan was born as a Maasai girl in the Savanne of Maralal, Kenia and was affected by FGM ritual when she was a young girl. Later she wrote some books to fight against FGM. We support her education work on FGM that she could purchase 100 copies of her book
The Kingdom of Watetu and Songaland to spread the books on schools in Maralal, Porro,Marti and Baragoi. Our project helps to fight to prevent of the ritual. The book is a great truth of FGM.

04/2022   Sponsorship for education of orchestra work (JSOW) Young Symphony Orchestra Wetzlar

The Dieter & Bettina Wulkow Foundation by a sponsorship of 250,00 € supports the education and orchestra work of young musicians of the Young Symphony Orchestra Wetzlar/Germany.

05/2022   Sponsorship of medical aid program for eye examination and prevention for children in Africa with the international Association Light for the World-Germany

We support the medical aid program „1-2-3 I can see!“ of the international aid organization  „Light for the World“ with a contribution of 1.560,00 € eye examination.

Outlook to our new sponsorship projects 2023:

In 2023 we have selected some promotion requests to our foundation and we plan the following projects to sponsor:

Sponsorship of education for children in South African rural areas „After School Enrichment Program“

Sponsorship of eye examinations and medical treatments as well as visual aids (eyeglasses) for children in rural areas of in Africa (Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Mozambique and Uganda) in cooperation with an international aid organization

Subsequent funding of the special hospital for Children Psychiatry Bad Neuenahr/Germany after the heavy flood disaster in July 2021. The hospital and the outdoor playground were completely destroyed. The hospital is under reconstruction but therapeutic toys, learning and treatment material is still missing. With our sponsorship we want to help again the young patients of the hospital.     

Sponsorship for education of orchestra work (JSOW) Young Symphony Orchestra Wetzlar / Germany  

Sponsorship for deaf children with migration background/refugees. We plan to sponsor especially children and youth with defective hearing to improve the communication and comprehension  

Provisioning of Laptops for digital education and school lessons in cooperation with an aid organization in Germany
