Update on Funding Project 05/2025 Easter Holiday Program at Schutzengelwerk (Guardian angel work) Berlin

As we already announced on our website under the heading News - Funding Project 05/2025, we have provided €2,350.00 in funding for the Easter holiday program for socially disadvantaged, migrant, and street children from Schutzengelwerk Berlin. Due to their poor backgrounds, the participating children are often unable to participate in cultural events and play attractions, or even visit the cinema; they almost always lack the money. Better-off schoolmates who talk extensively about their events instill a sense of inferiority in these children, and they are often excluded from the school community. This leaves these children feeling sad and alone, leading to apathy and isolation. Their motivation to learn decreases significantly.

The Guardian Angels Association accepts these children into its daily programs, where they receive support and joy in a community of like-minded people, and are nurtured by the Guardian Angels. After school, these children gather at the Guardian Angels facility, where they receive a hot lunch, do homework together, and play together. There, they receive respect regardless of their background and social statuses, receives further education, and are strengthened in their self-esteem.

To this end, the Guardian Angels implement measures such as donation-funded holiday programs, where children have the opportunity to participate in various events that only their more well-off schoolmates can afford. In a safe environment, the children can discover new skills, strengthen their self-confidence, and develop social skills. Such experiences not only promote their personal development but also give those unforgettable memories and a sense of belonging and appreciation. The childrens joy, sense of community, and attributes are fostered, and they are proud and talk about their experiences and their abilities.

Our foundation has now been able to support such a holiday program with the 2025 Easter holiday program. By advertising the program to a partner foundation, the foundation also contributed €1,500.00 to the Easter holiday program. The children participated in various activities, including a high ropes course and climbing park, a movie screening with popcorn, a planetarium, mini golf, and pizza. Everyone also received an Easter package.

The joy of all participating children was immense, and the holiday program was a complete success.

The director of the Schutzengelwerk Berlin, Ms. Bianca Sommerfeld, just told us about it and sent us some photos of the various events. She and her children thanked us sincerely. We would be happy to invite you to participate in this Easter holiday program for children.
