The Dieter & Bettina Wulkow Foundation will again support the youth work of the young musicians of the Wetzlar Youth Symphony Orchestra (JSOW) in 2026.
This amateur orchestra has been performing since 1987 and aims to introduce young people to classical music. Each year, the approximately 60 musicians, mostly young, play a series of concerts, which they rehearse together in many hours and perform with such precision for the enjoyment of their many listeners.
The repertoire includes classical, romantic, and modern orchestral works, musical melodies, and sacred music.
As a rule, JSOW performances are free for the audience, but the orchestra relies on donations to cover its running costs and the promotion of young musicians.
