05/2026 Funding for a library at the Christian Insula High School, Sanje, Uganda

in cooperation with Celebrate Hope Germany/Celebrate Hope Ministries, Uganda

We are pleased to participate again in CHG/CHM projects in Uganda in the 2026 funding year, this time in the construction of a much-needed library at Insula High School, Sanje (see below).

Establishing a library is equally important and helpful for students and teachers. We have all acquired and deepened our knowledge with the help of textbooks, and these books are sometimes used for years by subsequent classes and students, making a library a sustainable educational resource.

Back in 2018, we had already gained positive experience with a school library project at KOB High School in Kakoro, Uganda. The library is used very frequently and is constantly being expanded with new books.

Our collaboration with Celebrate Hope Germany/Celebrate Hope Ministries, Uganda, is proving fruitful. In 2024/25, we supported the school project to expand a girls dormitory at Christian Insula High School in Sanje, Uganda, with €4,000 (Our Project 06/2024) and have taken on two sponsorships. We are regularly informed about progress and kept up to date. Christine Schulze (CHG) and the headmaster of Insula Christian High School, Mr. Henry Kigudde, recently announced the completion of the new girls dormitory at Insula Christian High School, and the girls have moved into the new building. Construction was finished in early April 2025.

New projects at the school:

Classroom building:

Another classroom building is planned, as the school has reached its capacity limit. We want to give as many children as possible from impoverished and disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to attend Insula School, said the headmaster. This will give these children the chance to gain access to vocational training and, ideally, even university studies.

Sanitary Facilities:

The sanitary facilities still need renovation; the toilets are in a deplorable state. Fortunately, according to Christine Schulze, the renovation is now within reach and secured thanks to the approval of a grant application to the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland (EkiR).

Library:

Furthermore, the establishment of a library is planned to give students the opportunity to learn more intensively and independently.

Our foundation has decided to contribute to the construction of the library in 2026.
