Project 02/2019 update: Fund-delivery for Women’s Gynocare Fistula Center Eldoret/Kenia

On August 12th a charitable donation in an amount of 3000 Euro the Wulkow Foundation could handover to the Hospital Waldfriede Berlin-Desert Flower Center for the treatment of FGM and schooling of young girls and women in Kenya. Bernd Quoss, CEO as well as Ms. Evelyn Brenda, Kenyan cultural commissary, her husband Frank and the foundation board members Bettina and Dieter Wulkow are pleased that such an efficient and sustainable care project could be supported. By our sponsoring girls and young women under the involvement of doctors from the hospital Waldfriede, Berlin will be performed surgery and treated onto the damage of serious consequences of female genital mutilation in the Fistula Clinic, Eldoret/Kenya. Integrated in our aid project are also three rescue centres of Evelyn Brenda for the involved girls and women. They live in these centres and can get schooling in basic schools, secondary schools and partially even supports to study in one of the Universities in Kenya. Thereby the long-term target will be obsessed to lift the educational achievement and the recognition of the skilled young women in Kenya enormous. The involved girls and young women are later engaged in awareness training in the social most rural areas, to reduce the ritual of FGM, forced marriages or to stop it in the future generally. Even they animate to visit schools and speak with parents and “husbands” of their most young wives to let them get education. The success of this project in that is be located that the educated girls and young women more and more will be recognized proudly from the society and the community of their villages and their voices will be heard.
